Fantastic work, they did great job on replacing carpet with new wooden. Palling with that he fixed doors, installed curtains, fixed lock and even adjusted the existing following gaps. Charles went above and beyond as we had lots of nails and other unknowns when we removed existing carpet. I would highly recommend Charles and deem space design and will for sure will use them for all my bathroom, kitchen or any other flooring or furniture remodeling.

We hired Charles for a bathroom remodel and some finish work in our living space. Overall, very pleased with the work and the experience with his company. From the initial interaction, we had a positive experience. Didn’t feel like he was trying to oversell us on things we didn’t need like some other bids, but was honest in letting us know how expensive it could get, depending on the materials we chose. There were some delays, but that was due to the specific materials we wanted for the bathroom not being in-stock and shipping from the manufacturer. We had a full bathroom remodel (hadn’t been updated since the 80’s) heated floors and towel rack, new vanity, walk in-shower + free standing bathtub. Then some renovations to our downstairs living area for family to stay with us. Full new paint, plus he painted the banister and shelving and we plan for him to come back next month to put new carpet in on the stairs. Thanks for everything and making our home feel more like a home.

Horrible customer service. Would not communicate with me on when he would be at the site. Sometimes he wouldn't even show up. I would have to message him around 3pm to ask him if he was coming just for him to say not today after i waiting on him all day. The work he did is not professional. I still have places on my wall that are incomplete and trash that needs to be picked up. He keeps telling me he will take care of it and it's now been over a month. This is also after he already got paid. Just took my money and never came back. I would never recommend this company to anyone. I am now on the hook to pay someone else to haul away the trash after I already paid this company. Not ok and very unhappy. The guys he hired to do the tile work and flooring were great. Those guys know what they are doing, but the owner does not.

I hired AVARC constructions to complete my stairs which were left incomplete by a previous contractor years ago. We already had the materials, but after the last contractor experience, I was hesitant to have someone else come in to finish this work. From start to finish, Charles was great with communication and addressing my concerns. His attention to detail in not only finishing my stairs, but also going back and redoing work that previous contractor did indirectly was above and beyond. He removed pieces of flooring, recut them and installed end pieces to make the overall flooring cleaner and complete. In addition to the stairs, I needed a new railing put in before the holidays with my granddaughter visiting and mother-in-law to safely get up and down the stairs. After showing Charles pictures of cable railing that I liked, we landed on a custom brushed metal railing. I LOVE it! Initially we were going to finish it in black, but I loved the brushed metal look that felt more timeless so we left it as-is. We were close to the overall budget I’d expressed being comfortable with which was greatly appreciated. All of this was completed quickly (stairs one days work and railing was roughly 2 weeks between the measurements and railing being built + 20 minutes for installation). We still need the wall painted to complete this project and have baseboards installed and have already inquired with Charles about working with him to do this. We have other larger renovations that we’ll be needing completed in the coming year and AVARC constructions will definitely be top of my list when hiring a contractor.

Charles and his team did a wonderful job turning my outdated bathroom into my dream sanctuary. From the initial estimate process to walking through selection of materials, he helped me to stay within my budget while creating this dream space. I appreciated his transparency given the current climate and the cost for materials going up, plus increases in labor, both of which he was upfront about. Where I had questions/concerns with the estimate or selecting materials, he was incredibly knowledgeable. This was a big remodel, gutting the bathroom and relocating plumbing which I was worried about. But Charles’ team had completed a renovation for a family member who was very satisfied and he specializes in bathroom and kitchen remodels. Our new space is beautiful. Quartz bathroom countertop, double sink vanity, spacious shower with a bench and free-standing bathtub, heated floors and heated towel rack. My husband can barely get me to leave the bathroom now! :) We need our kitchen done down the line and I will definitely consider AVA Constructions for that project.
