- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Pricing is based on the individual project and service provided. Color design services are priced at $125/ hr. The fee for the first hour is waived / retroactively credited to the project cost if the client chooses to work with New Digs Design.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Once the initial connection has been made, I prefer to meet in person on site. This gives the client an opportunity to meet me personally as well as allow me time to lay eyes on the project. I prefer to take pictures and notes, get some background on what the client is needing and then return with a detailed estimate via email as well as a color plan. If New Digs Design is referred to the client by another contractor the color plan is approved by the client and then formatted and sent directly to both the client and contractor.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been in the interior design and decorating industry for 20+ years. In addition to studying interior design formerly - encompassing architecture, space planning, color theory, budgeting etc., over the years I have made it a point to increase my repertoire by developing and honing a wide-range of craftsman skills and pride myself on doing a good portion of the work myself. Covering all types of finishing; painting, woodwork refinishing, trowel work (concrete micro finish, plaster). Over the years my management skills have earned the respect of my fellow industry contractors as well.
