Introduction
Hi, I’m Yami Merced— a passionate guitar instructor and active member of the Seattle Music Scene. Since late 2022, I’ve been performing with the band Funhouse. This summer (2024), we had the amazing opportunity to record our debut album, Invasive Species, at Hall of Justice Recording Studio in Ballard.
Along with performing, I’m dedicated to teaching students who are either new to the guitar or have a deep passion for music. I personalized my lessons to fit each student’s needs, creating a supportive and fun learning environment that helps you progress on your musical journey. I offer lessons in both English and Spanish. I look forward to our next lesson!

Yami is an exceptional guitar teacher! As a beginner, I was nervous about learning, but Yami made the process fun, approachable, and easy to follow.
