FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Consultations are $50.I offer an Elder discount to clients 60+ years old, a discount for BIPOC as a reparation rate, and a discount for fellow LGBTQIA community members (contact me for details). I train and work with dogs of all breeds, ages, and sizes. I offer a 10-Day Puppy Board and Train, a 3-Week Board and Train, private lesson packages, and boarding only for non-aggressive crate trained and conditioned dogs for $75/day.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I begin with either a free 30 minute evaluation (phone only; if you need me to meet in-person, client pays for gas milage). Or a consultation ($50) either on the phone or in-person (for sever aggressive cases). Once the fee has been paid and the time of our appointment has been agreed on, I will email a confirmation and questionnaire that I will need answered before the appointment. Only during consultations will I offer advice and answer any and all your questions. Both the evaluation and consultation I will be discussing my training and which program would work best for the clients dogs or goals. For my board and train program, once the client fills out the appropriate paperwork and pay the deposit, we can use one of the clients 6 private lessons if needed, to learn how to safely and effectively use the prong collar to have more enjoyable walks. Or, your board and train program begins the 1st of the month you secured a spot with. Private lessons begin a week after the dog's board and train began. For my private lesson packages, once the paper work is filled out and signed, and the fee is paid; we can schedule your first private lesson. Typically we begin at your place and then work in public places, depending on the client working with their dog between lessons, and the progress they've made. ** For only boarding: the dog can't be aggressive or reactive, must be crate trained and conditioned (able to be in their crate quietly and calmly for up to 4 hours in the day and 8 hours at night) to qualify for boarding only. I still require a 30 minute evaluation on the phone (no charge) and for the a questionnaire to be filled out, so I can gain more intimate knowledge of your dog. If we fill we are a good fit, I will email you my agreement form and boarding intake form. I have limited space for boarding only and it's a first come first served basis. There is a $75 non-refundable deposit to secure your start date, and the remaining fee is due on the day the boarding begins or earlier. **
