Monica Schley is a classically trained Seattle harpist who freelances in many styles: new music, chamber, improvisational, avant guard, jazz and rock. She has worked with Butch Morris, Evan Flory-Barnes, Jherek Bischoff, Masada, Jesse Sykes, Jim Knapp, Hey Marsailles and Kanye West. She is available to play solo harp and harp with violin or flute for private engagements, weddings, recording, live performance, funerals and harp instruction.
The harp is an instrument synonymous with peace, love and relaxation. Harp is an ancient healing instrument. Live harp music will add a calming relief to any stressful event. Monica has experience playing for memorials, funerals, religious ceremonies and other transformative rites of passage.
