They happened to have a serviceman who lived down the street from me, so they were able to send him very quickly. He was very experienced and seems to have fixed the problem.

We are visiting the area to see our daughter, son in law and our grandson. We have a residential refrigerator in our Motorhome . Its cooling and freezing quit working. RV repair people wouldnt respond because its a residential unit. Home appliance companies wouldnt because it was in a Motorhome . Finally I got to Carter Brothers and after talking to Chuck we scheduled a service call. Bill, his technician responded promptly, very professional and personable. We are keeping Carter Brothers contact info for future needs when we are here.

They sent out a repair tech the same day we emailed. He took the time to explain exactly what was wrong and that our repair cost would be high enough that we should just buy a new fridge. I appreciated that honesty. Beyond that, he even provided a lot of advice on buying a new fridge.

Bill showed up within hours of my phone call, was actually able to find my house..... not an easy task!!!He spent a lot of time trying to nail down the source of a loud intermittent noise that was getting worse....and of course, did not occur the entire time he was here.Bill was so patient, polite and proffessional and did replace a part... so far so good...would highly recommend this company.

My refrigerator/freezer was not cold enough.I called on the weekend and they were able to send a technician Monday morning. I was charged $400, which seemed high, but I was willing to pay for the convenient and timely repair.Unfortunately, the refrigerator is now even worse - it does not get cold at all. I waited 2 days, as I was told it would take some time. I called in the morning and left a message. I texted the technician. I called in the evening and the voicemail was full. I called mid-day a day later. Voicemail still full. Now I am out $400, my refrigerator does not work, and I cannot get in touch with the company at all to discuss the situation. I don't mean to be impatient but the they do promise "same day service" and already have my money for an inadequate repair.Hopeful that they will get back to me and I can update this to a more positive review. In the mean time I cannot recommend Carter Brothers.UPDATE: I never did manage to get them in to fix their work. Finally I took apart myself, found the new compressor start relay was (1) not connected properly (the wire nut had come apart), and (2) the part used was actually flagged on the internet as harmful to the compressor over time. I had to pull out the old part, buy a new one on Amazon, repair the original molex connector (which had been cut out to splice in the bogus part), and I was good to go ...
