- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Listen first. When you reach out, I’ll ask a few questions about what’s going on and what you’re hoping to accomplish. Photos of the panel, outlet, or problem area help me give you a better idea of the scope right away. 2. Assess in person. For most jobs, I’ll come out to see the work in person. I’ll take a close look, explain what I find in plain language, and walk you through your options, including what’s needed now versus what can wait. 3. Clear, honest quote. You’ll get an upfront price before any work begins. No surprises, and no pressure to add things you don’t need. 4. Permits and scheduling. If the job requires a permit, I handle it for you. Then we’ll pick a time that works with your schedule. 5. Clean, professional work. I show up on time, protect your home while I work, and do the job right. When I’m done, I clean up and leave your space the way I found it. 6. Final walkthrough. I’ll show you the finished work, test everything, and answer any questions. If an inspection is required, I’ll coordinate it so the job is fully signed off. I stand behind every job, so if anything comes up afterward, just reach out.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I trained for two years at the Construction Industry Training Council of Washington (CITC), where I built a strong foundation in electrical theory, the National Electrical Code (NEC), and safe, hands-on installation practices. I’m a licensed Electrical Administrator in Washington State (License #ALABOMA760M5), which means I’ve passed the state’s exam on electrical code and regulations and am qualified to oversee electrical work and make sure it meets code. Spark Pro Electric is also a licensed Washington State Electrical Contractor (License #SPARKPE765NM), bonded and insured. I keep up with continuing education to stay current on code updates and safety standards, so every job I do is safe, up to date, and built to pass inspection the first time.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was born and raised in Seattle, but from 2010 to 2014 I lived in the Middle East. There, reliable electricity wasn’t something anyone took for granted. Power problems were part of everyday life, and when something went wrong, the whole neighborhood turned to one person: the local electrician. He was our neighborhood hero. I watched him bring power back to families who depended on him, and I saw how much respect and trust he earned by helping people when they needed it most. That stuck with me. When I came home to Washington, I knew I wanted to be that person for my own community. I enrolled at the Construction Industry Training Council of Washington (CITC) and spent two years learning the trade, from electrical theory and code to hands-on installation. I went on to earn my Electrical Administrator license and start Spark Pro Electric. Today, I run Spark Pro as a family-owned business built on the same values I saw overseas: show up, be honest, and do the job right. Every home I work in, I treat like it’s my own.
