About
Hello, I'm Elizabeth and I'm so excited to work with you! Let me introduce myself:
I first started practicing yoga when I was I was teenager, as part of my 15 years of dance training. But it wasn’t until later in life, after leaving the dance world behind, that I began to truly understand and love the practice.
During this time being on my mat brought me much needed moments of serenity when everything else felt hard and confusing. I fell in love with the practice and took my first teacher training in 2015. I emerged totally transformed by yoga’s depth and eager to share it with others. I dove in to teaching and have been offering up my services ever since.
My teaching grows and changes as I evolve. But what has always been constant is my emphasis on moving in a way that is therapeutic for the body. My teaching style revolves around precise verbal cues that are designed to shift your awareness inward and help you begin to really understand and feel your body.
My hope for you, my student, is that this inward focus leads you towards more moments of clarity, peace, and self-understanding.
If you're looking to see if I would be a good fit for you, here are a few areas I specialize in:
- Yoga for beginners
- Yoga for strength + flexibility
- Yoga for healthy aging
- Yoga for chronic pain
If you have any questions, don't hesitate to reach out to discuss!

I highly recommend Elizabeth as an excellent yoga instructor. I am an amateur runner, cyclist, and squash player who was oblivious to stretching and caring for my body. I started my yoga journey with minimal flexibility. Personalized bi-weekly training sessions with Elizabeth were just transformative; she worked with me incrementally over the past three years, built my confidence, and improved my flexibility so that I felt comfortable with yoga. Most importantly, I noticed improvements in all my athletic activities, completing my running, cycling, and squash seasons with no injuries. I have a long way to go in my yoga journey. Still, I am grateful to Elizabeth for being my guru and providing a good foundation for becoming a lifelong yoga practitioner.

Nothing but positive things to say about Elizabeth! She is amazing at what she does. I started doing one on one sessions with her in 2018 and I got hooked. The personalized help and one on one focus helped me become more conscious of my movement and breath, kept me accountable and I’ve always finished each session feeling super refreshed which always sets me up for a better mindset through out my day. She was so patient with me from the start- me being with out much yoga experience - besides the occasional group class here and there. Through her, I have been able to see that our practice can be just as much mental as it is physical. I credit her for all of the improvements I have made the last few years with my form as well as being more mindful of each movement.

Elizabeth is phenomenal! She lead me through a thoughtful sequence and her cues and words stuck with me long after my session. Her warmth and energy made the session very enjoyable- she seemed to know exactly what I needed! Thank you Elizabeth for a wonderful yoga experience!

Although I live on the east coast, I started Zoom yoga lessons with Elizabeth since last year, when I was no longer able to go to the private lessons I'd been taking for a couple of years. Elizabeth's "gentle yoga" sessions have been a great way to enhance my daily yoga practice, and to help expand my range of poses. Elizabeth is an excellent teacher, who has a calm and gentle manner as she goes through the sessions. Her instructions are easy to follow, and she is careful to note that not everyone may able to do each pose. Each session has a different focus, so that you learn new movements and poses each time, zeroing-in on specific body areas and goals. While the gentle sessions are designed not to push too many limits, they definitely provide a good one-hour workout. I'm delighted that she now is able to return to some in-person studio sessions, but I selfishly hope she'll keep doing the Zoom sessions for awhile so that I can continue to work with her. She's a wonderful instructor!

Doing privateyoga with Elizabeth is a joy! She meets me at my level, which is usually on the gentler side, but still challenges me. I especially appreciate her knowledge of biomechanics and ability to apply it.
And yes, I am her mom, but she's still one of the best yoga instructors I've had!
