FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
For handyman services, such as door lock replacement, repairs, simple jobs, I am $65 an hour. I will estimate the time needed and only bill you for the actual time the job takes me. For more complex jobs, such as custom building items and projects that require and hour rate, I would be $85. For larger jobs, such as bathroom remodels etc, I will quote you an estimate for the entire job, break it down labor/materials, and give you the ability to pay half down and the remaining half when the job is completed. This option is a Washington State law. My estimates are free, if I help you shop or travel to stores etc to look at products, my time is included in the job. You will only pay for the actual physical work that I do.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I make a connection with the customer, preferably via phone, but text or email is acceptable as well. Ideally, we will meet at the job site where I will introduce myself, then I will be ready for you to show me what you would like done, and I will listen to your needs and answer questions that you may have. I will also ensure I protect your home, floors, walls, interior exterior to ensure dust is contained, and damage doesn't occur.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have 30 years experience in home improvement & construction. Years ago, I used my own home as my first canvas. I worked in home improvement for so many years, developed knowledge of products, learned from contractors all kinds of tips and tricks, and worked on my skills for many years only to become a perfectionist.
