- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was one of the lucky ones. My father was an Electrical Contractor for 20 years in the Puget Sound area and I was able to spend years learning from my best friend. He expected all his kids to work harder than the rest and continually educate ourselves in the trade.
- Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
A General Contractor that I had worked with previously contacted me about doing a panel replacement at a home in Lake Stevens. I met with an elderly lady, Greta, who was a super sweet lady. As my apprentice and I finished up she and I were talking and found out she had known my parents for decades and had been a member of our church. Small world. I continued to help her with little things for tiny amounts of cash over the years till she passed recently in her mid 90's. Was a very rewarding experience for me. Made me realize how much helping others can mean.
