A little about myself:
Hello my name is Nik. I graduated Lake Washington Institute of Technology as a Computer Science major student receiving my Computer Security and Networking Technology Associates in 2022. I built my first desktop years earlier when I was 13 which fueled my interest in computers and technology. My current wish is to help people who may not be as knowledgeable in computers and potentially work on my own tech-related business.
My offers/capabilities:
Building:
My main strength in computers is building. I can assemble the most suitable computer for most needs be it for gaming, office or general use while remaining inside of your budget. When building, I will do my best to assure that all parts are installed correctly and once finished, I will guarantee all parts work to their best potential to satisfy your needs, making sure the computer is ready to go.
Part Replacement:
I can safely replace damaged desktop computer parts as well as upgrade outdated parts which range from processors to storage. When replacing storage parts, I am knowledgeable in copying/cloning the data from the old drive(s) to the new one(s) if requested.
Storage:
Along with the physical work, I offer storage cleaning, for example wiping all data prior to selling a computer or refreshing for new users. I can also clone a storage device to multiple other ones which can be used in different computers that are intended to have similar capabilities (Instead of setting up each computer individually), for example classroom computers. I can attempt to do bulk, just inform me of how much computers are being setup.
General help/Data recovery:
If your computer or laptop runs slower than it had a couple years back, I can offer some options in speeding it up. If your computer is operating oddly or does not boot up to desktop, I may be able to repair it, or at least recover data from it that seems unreachable or lost. I take privacy seriously and will NOT copy or steal any private data or information that is on any storage device that I do not own.
(For Android/Arm device ONLY) If you have a recently deceased relatives phone that is locked behind a 4 or 6 number pin, I may be able to unlock it for you to retrieve information. Not all devices compatible, but it's worth a try.
Other:
I am also able to replace laptop parts, however not all. These are limited to the storage and ram (Usually an upgrade), along with minor repairs like damaged charging ports, battery replacement and internal dust cleaning. You can contact me with anything and I will let you know if I am able to do the job along with an estimated cost and time needed to complete it.
Cost/Prices:
For building, I am whiling to start at 10% of the total and up, depending on the total cost of the parts and time to build. Depending on difficulty and time of other jobs like replacements or upgrades, we can estimate a price up front as they may take less time to complete.
If you are located within a 1 hour drive (~50 miles from Edmonds), I can come to you for at least $10 to cover the cost of gas. If you are any further (Maximum 2 hour drive/~100 miles.), we will have to make an appointment for when we are both available and choose between meeting at your place (Will estimate gas cost) or if you would like to come to me.
* If you are uncomfortable with meeting in person, we can work something out for me to assist you virtually. Cost will differ than usual and I will ask for a security deposit in advance as to not be left out as soon as your problem is solved.
