Introduction
I have successfully taught over 1,000 students in our community. I teach all ages and all styles, from classical to jazz. I teach students to play the music that they love to play through the training that I offer. I have gone to university for classical and jazz studies. I had a career as a performer before I began teaching, so I am very experienced in any style. I also teach the harmonic system (chords) theory and improvisation as well as sight reading and technique. I believe in having a good foundation. I work to integrate the interests and learning styles of the student with the joy of playing the piano. I teach in person and offer virtual lessons. Thank you!

It has been a truly exciting experience to pick up piano playing again after many years. Maureen is outstanding in every aspect of teaching piano. She is creative and responds to what student need to stay engaged and flourish musically rather than following piano books page-by-page. She's an incredible source of encouragement for students (both in and outside of their musical interests) and maintains a supportive and positive relationship. She teaches a well-balanced combo of reading music, ear training and theory bringing students a rich musical experience and understanding.
