FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
We offer upfront, transparent pricing with no hidden fees. Our pricing reflects the quality of materials we use, the experience we bring, and the time we take to do the job right. We occasionally offer seasonal discounts and bundle pricing for multi-unit inspections or combined services (like sweep + repair). If you’ve received a previous bid, we’re happy to review it and offer a second opinion — and often a better value. For inspections, we provide full Level 2 chimney inspections with detailed PDF reports starting at just $149.95. Cleaning is only recommended and charged if needed.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We like to keep things simple, clear, and professional from start to finish. Here’s what you can expect when working with us: Initial Contact – We’ll start by learning more about your chimney or fireplace needs. Whether it’s an inspection, cleaning, or repair, we’ll ask a few questions to understand the scope. Scheduling – We’ll find a time that works for you and send appointment details with reminders, so you always know what to expect. On-Site Visit – Our certified technician will arrive on time, perform a thorough inspection or service, and walk you through any findings with honesty — no pressure or upselling. Documentation – If it's an inspection, you’ll receive a full PDF report with photos and recommendations. If it’s a repair, we’ll provide clear estimates and explain everything in plain language. Follow-Up Support – We’re always available for questions after the visit, and we stand behind our work with pride.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
We bring both deep experience and formal training to every job. Our lead technician has been in the chimney and masonry industry since 1999, and we've built a team that values continuing education and doing things the right way. We are proud members of both the Oregon Chimney Sweep Association and the National Chimney Sweep Guild. We attend the OCSA convention annually to stay up to date on evolving codes, safety standards, and best practices — and Shannon, one of our owners, currently serves as Secretary of the Guild. Several of our technicians hold the Certified Chimney Sweep credential from the Chimney Safety Institute of America (CSIA), and some are also certified through the Accredited Certified Chimney Professional (CCP) program. Our team continues to pursue certifications and hands-on training to ensure we're always providing the safest, most knowledgeable service possible.
