JL Fine Finishes remodeled our bathroom in April. They did a great job overall, the pricing was good and they were flexible in in how they worked with us. Allowing us to pick the exact materials, even ordering them on our behalf. The installation and finish was great. As with any remodel, once finished you notice minor issues which they were quick to address before we paid. They even came back after being paid to resolve something we identified after completion. We will be using them again and have recommended to our neighbors.

I first encountered this business over Yelp. I wanted to completely remodel two bathrooms and a laundry room. I pretty much knew what I wanted and was mostly looking for someone to execute my plan and essentially demo then install everything I had selected.I received 6 quotes for this work. JL Fine Finishes' quote came somewhere in the middle and after seeing their existing reviews I decided to choose them.From the beginning I was happy with Julissa's process for scoping the project. Among all the reps that came over for quotes, Julissa was the one that asked the most questions and genuinely showed interest in the project. This is a big plus for me, because those who ask more questions tend to prefer to identify unknows and eliminate risk and miscommunication from the beginning and you definitely need someone like that when you're about to spend a considerable amount of money on a project you cannot abort mid-way. In comparison, what I noticed is that most other companies, especially the larger ones seemed to be all about business and finding ways to exaggerate the project before even getting all the details about it from me.When we began the project, I appreciated how quickly and safely Gerardo and Jonathan tackled the demo stage. They were also both friendly and respectful of the property.Come to the installation stage, I definitely felt a slowdown. There were a few factors that affected the timeline of the project and since I had a hard max budget I had to adjust accordingly. If I could change something we did here, it would be to demo one bathroom at a time instead of both even if we initially felt confident in having a short period with no functional bathroom.That said, I think it's unreasonable to expect big and long running projects to go completely smoothly. And my past experience tells me if you don't encounter problems in those projects, your contractor is most probably hiding them from you. What mattered to me the most at this stage is how we overcome those challenges and I appreciate how transparent and creative Gerardo was at that stage.

We hired JL Fine Finishes to level our subfloor and install vinyl plank flooring that we had previously purchased. The experience has been excellent throughout. Julissa is a professional business owner that responds quickly and with a very customer-focused approach.We were so pleased with the flooring installation that we further contracted her to replace the old wrought iron railing in our living room with something more modern. Turnaround was quick and the railing is great.Throughout our two projects, Julissa and Gerardo were responsive, professional, and did a great job. We will definitely hire JL Fine Finishes for future projects and we strongly recommend Julissa and her crew.

TL;DR Julissa, Geraldo, Tyler, and all of JL Fine Finishes are absolutely amazing and deserving of your money.Let me weave you a tale. A tale of a man and his family who just wanted clean undergarments. Upon moving into a new home I discovered the dryer was busted, it took 4 hours to dry and leaked water all over the floor (although it still, technically, "dried" clothes). The lady and I immediately embarked to the nearest big box home improvement store where we purchased a very not-cheap laundry tower that included delivery and installation.After 3 weeks, which included 2 failed deliveries and one failed installation, I was left with no old washer and dryer (because they had been removed by the install team) and no new washer and dryer (because the techs couldn't figure out how to get it down the stairs). They assured me they would be back the next day to finish the job. FOUR DAYS LATER not only had they not returned, I had had zero communication with them. Big Box Home Improvement was apologetic and communicative, but apparently not even their corporate muscle could get their contracted install team to pick up the phone or do their freaking job.Fed up with stinky socks and soiled underpants, I took it upon myself to find a local team to finish the job the other guys could not.Enter JL Fine Finishes. I filled out a simple form online and within 15 minutes was contacted by the lovely Julissa who gathered some information from me. Within 2 hours I had a confirmation call from Geraldo (I apologize if I misspelled your name) who assured me they would be by that evening. Even though it was the end of their day!Sure enough, Geraldo and Tyler arrived promptly when they said they would and immediately set to assessing the situation. They removed their shoes without even being asked to, and within short order assured me they could install the new laundry tower. Where the other team failed to realize they could easily separate the washer from the dryer, Geraldo and Tyler set to work right away, and within short order had the tower disassembled, moved, reassembled, and installed. They were polite, professional, courteous, friendly, expeditious and thorough.What Mr. Big Box and their Hack Contractors could not accomplish in 4 days, Julissa, Geraldo and Tyler accomplished in a manner of hours.Me, my family, and our bursting dirty clothes hampers thank you. You all are amazing <3
