Came out to give a quote within 48 hours, and it was great work once finished. Removed my abandoned wood fire stove pipe through the roof and added a kitchen exhaust. Elmer of Blue Stone Roofing (BSRC) and his crew impressed us in every way that matters on a project like this: - organization, communication, clarity and detail in every interaction while reviewing the project scope and expectations (thank you, Elizabeth! - BSRC’s Business Manger) - patience and diligence with every walk-through - every project scope conversation was promptly translated into a revised proposal and adjusted rate removing any possibility for a misunderstanding - alternative options were offered respectfully (and helpfully) whenever our aspirations proved unrealistic (timelines, color, texture , etc) - change orders became necessary as wood rot was found on a couple of places when the old siding was removed. Blue Stone Roofing’s clear notes, pictures and documentation left no doubt as to the need to address the issues and the cost of repairs. - Since we kept adding to the original scope, the price was higher in the end for all the right reasons and still an excellent value. - the crew clearly had a well-structured work cadence where no one ever stood idle and everyone had a partner for the dangerous tasks - way up high on a ladder with both hands holding power tools! The guys clearly liked and trusted each other which made the work go smoothly, swiftly and cheerfully. - Safety guidelines were an obvious consideration and the crew’s equipment, safety harnesses, etc. - top notch. One winter later, the siding looks exactly as it did on the day they left. Thank you for your excellent work!
