I give Josh a 10/10 rating! He helped me & my dog work through some anxiety issues that my dog was suffering from. He was patient and understood that my dog trusted me so he made sure to instruct me how to guide her. He was extremely thoughtful & structured with how to proceed. He would send me articles to read so that we would be on the same page before we began. I felt relieved & grateful that Josh put so much time and effort into planning & strategizing the sessions. To be honest, I was hesitant to spend the money for a private trainer but Im 100% glad I did. Definitely worth every penny!

We've simply seen his work first hand, and want to share our experience so that you can hire an excellent trainer for your dog.Heel & Heal K9 has helped us with numerous dogs in regards to separation anxiety, obedience, fearfulness, and even helped train dogs with hearing or visual impairments. He has resolved behavioral issues in our dogs every single time, no exaggeration. With his guidance, our dogs become more adoptable and find safe, loving forever homes.These days, it seems like anyone and everyone is a dog trainer and gets away with charging a fortune without even resolving the issues at hand. Sadly, few have the education, experience and skills to effectively correct behaviors and train new ones. What sets Joshua apart is not only his in depth knowledge of canine psychology, he is also a brilliant teacher to lay persons like me and our staff. He explains the how's and why's of a dog's behavior, and breaks it down in a way that's easy for us to understand how to correct said behaviors.We get numerous calls and emails each day from people wanting to rehome their dogs for aggression, hyperactivity and destructive behavior. We refer them to Joshua and the ones that follow through with training with him, and stay consistent, have been able to keep their dogs and handle them safely.Joshua is humble, easy to work with, professional, respectful and constantly learning. He is a balanced trainer and has expert knowledge of every training tool, and how to safely and effectively use them. Absolutely loved this experience! My dog was very excitable and hard to control, but Josh really made a change in her for the better. She has impulse control, can walk in public like a champ, and is generally more responsive. This was a great experience, would definitely recommend and use in the future for another dog!

Our German Shepard (Dio) did a board and train with Josh and the results were incredible, both in his behavior, as well as our understanding of what is going on in his head. The information that Josh provided us, helped immensely in understand how Dio acts and why, as well as boosting my confidence in the commands I give him. Truly, I cannot recommend Heel and Heal K9 enough.

I own a dog rescue in Edmonds, WA and Joshua regularly helps us with our less adoptable dogs through behavioral modifications. He’s helped us with reactive, fearful, unsocialized dogs and enabled them to go on to lead great lives with their adopters.
