I purchased a new construction home and needed landscaping for my side yards and back yard. As a new homeowner, this project made me anxious because I knew it would be expensive, a bad outcome could be detrimental to my home's value, and there is the potential that costs could spiral out of control. I reached out to Skagit Landscaping and the owner, Polo, came out the next day to do a free estimate. He took detailed notes about what I wanted done, as well as measurements. He then emailed me an estimate that included an itemized list of all materials required as well as the total cost to perform each part of the project, which put my anxiety at ease. His quote was very reasonable compared to competitors, and given the photos of his other projects, as well as his professionalism, I was confident that Skagit Landscaping was the right choice for the job. The project was so much work that it took his crew of three people almost a month to complete, but the wait was well worth it! I'm happy to report that he and his team delivered 100% on-budget and with outstanding results. I mean, REALLY, it looks SO good that when they were done, I practically had to double-check my address to make sure I was at my own house! But don't take my word for it, check out the photos! His crew was very friendly throughout the process and I could tell they cared about the quality of their work. They even trimmed the bushes in my front yard! TL;DR: Stop reading reviews and hire them already!

This guy IS not licensed or bonded. LNI HAS SUSPENDED HIS LICENSE. I filed my complaint with lni today for illegal work. They DID NOT clean up and didn't tell us that clean up wasn't included until they were already half way into the project. The fence looks awful. We asked them to use the old wood but we didn't ask them to leave it a mess and built it uneven. They didn't fill each concrete block's hole with concrete like they said, they just left it with gravel that is going everywhere now and are claiming that we never asked them to fill it with concrete. DO NOT USE THIS BUSINESS. He won't respond to your messages while he working so he can later say that there's nothing in writing. What a waste. He left when I wasn't there because my parents don't speak English. I paid him when it was dark and he knew that I lived an hour away so I didn't see it in the daylight until a week later. Now when I text he just sends thumbs up and snarky comments. He can laugh in small claims court.

I cannot say enough positive things about Skagit and their team. They were professional, gave great landscaping advice and were so fast to put together the job! We had 2 retaining walls put in, pavers down two sidewalks and a large back patio, new drainage, fake grass installed and landscape lighting. I would recommend them highly!

So glad we hired Polo and his crew. Just amazing to work with. Polo brainstormed hardscape ideas with us, answered all questions, all the while keeping our budget in mind. We were able to make informed decisions about what we wanted and clearly understood what was involved after talking to him. He was always ready to "tweak" the plan if needed. He and his team were incredibly reliable and hardworking. He installed a retaining wall and fence in our back yard along with mulch, plantings, and crushed rock. He transformed the look of our yard. He is meticulous in his planning and work, and we highly recommend him!
