We were in the middle of closing our offer on our house when I started communicating with Hello Painting representatives namely Vlad. My intention was to put everything for the renovation in place in advance for the case when our offered was finalized. It turned out to be a very good educational experience for me and I learned a lot from them about renovations. Being fully aware that we had not closed the deal, Vlad still took time and gave answers to my many questions with diligence.
The primary service we requested from them was painting. It’s a 2007 craftsman style house in Kirkland. It has a lot of plantation shutters on windows and doors which are very difficult to paint. It was very easy to make a walkthrough appointment with them and they showed up on time, had their measurements, answered my questions about the type of paints to use for each area, and then gave me their detailed quotes very soon after. They follow up afterward but not in an excessive way to bug you. Their quotes were very clear without any vague or twisted points. I had quotes from more than 5 other painting companies and got a very accurate estimate of the actual cost of the quality painting we expected and I have to tell you, their quotes were right on the money. Definitely they did not try to rip us off as some others did by asking for twice as much just by looking at the zip code. And of course, their services are not the cheapest as they provide quality work and do not cut corners to “save” you money.
I am a kind of person who thoroughly research everything and could easily tell that all their recommendations were valid and not to cost you unjustified costs. So, it encouraged us to ask them to give us their proposals for other renovation projects such as replacing the countertops, refinishing the hardwood floor, and replacing the basement floor carpet with LVP. They are very resourceful and have a sister company called “Hello Renovation” which took care of everything else beside the painting. Miro was their representative who worked with us and we had the same smooth experience with him as we did with Vlad.
In my view, even if you already set your heart with other companies to do your projects, it’d still be worth consulting with them and ask them to give you their detailed proposals. I’d serve as a reference point to get better ideas of what you really need to include in your projects and the corresponding ballpark of the cost.
Contractors come and go but finding ones with good ethic work is not an everyday usual anymore. Hello Painting reviews across the web are very excellent and they’d probably not be in the need of my positive feedback. But I felt it was the right thing to do. Just try them and you will find the proof in the pudding by experiencing the level of professionalism the operate on to handle your requests.

The team did a really beautiful job starting with moving my large furniture, protecting all furniture and floors, fixing my drywall (including with the correct special textures), filling in holes, and painting walls, ceiling, and trim. They even repainted a room for me when I accidentally selected the wrong color (and a very dark one at that, to be replaced with a light color), with no additional charge except the paint. They were happy to use the high quality SW paint I selected. The quote I got was less than half one I got from a competitor and there were no overages at all. I am already planning for them to return to paint a few remaining places. Thank you Miro and team!
