Hey y'all, I'm Sarah of Music By Sarah. I look forward to joining you on your musical journey! From my first guitar student in 2008, I've enjoyed sharing my love of music with students ages 3 and up in various communities on the East Coast - and around the world with Zoom lessons. My goal is to help each student become a confident, passionate, and knowledgeable musician, as well as a well-rounded human. We work on skills like accountability, time management, patience, and goal-setting in my lessons - and I make it fun! I currently teach beginner to intermediate guitar (rock, pop, folk/acoustic, and rhythm), beginner to intermediate piano (contemporary and classical), and voice coaching with a focus on technique. As an award-winning songwriter and performer, I also offer songwriting and music theory lessons for all levels as well as audition prep and performance coaching. New for 2022: I'm offering consultation services for independent musicians! Sarah King teaches my 10 year old son guitar. She is patient, engaging, and listens to what kids would like to learn to play. She has tremendous music expertise and a great attitude. Plus kids can come and see her in concert live or watch her perform online and see how all that hard work can create an incredible musician with their own personal style. She's the best!!

FAQs

What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Online lesson tuition starts at $25/half hour, and are scheduled Monday-Thursday between 11am-7pm. Card payments are subject to processing fees.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I like to set up a time for a complimentary initial meet and greet to ensure I understand the student's goals. It also allows us some time to discuss any questions or concerns the student may have before choosing to make music with me!
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
BA in Music Management, 6yrs of private vocal lessons, 2yrs of private piano lessons, self-taught on guitar, performing singer/songwriter for 15+ years, private music teacher since 2008
