Nelson and his team were fantastic from start to finish. Once I contacted Nelson, he was able to come out the same day and gave me a quote within a couple of hours. Luis and the small team he had with him every day were so polite , professional, and cleaned up after themselves every single day. We had carpet taken out of two rooms on the first floor, new red oak flooring feathered in, the entire first floor, upstairs landing, and front staircase sanded and refinished. We are absolutely in love with our new floors!
We shopped around quite a bit and were impressed with Nelson's responsiveness and his pricing was very competitive. For all of our hardwood flooring needs, we'll definitely reach out to Nelson and have already started recommending him to our friends!

Very thankful and fortunate to have found Nelson & Capitol Flooring. We recently bought a new home and it still had the original butterscotch (orange) colored red oak hardwood on the main floor and carpet upstairs. We wanted to install new hardwood upstairs and refinish the first floor hardwood to a more modern color - ideally try to make it as seamless and a close color match as possible. We contacted 3 different contractors for quotes and the two of the 3 said that the cheapest option would be to install pre-finished hardwood upstairs and then refinish the existing hardwood to a close match. Nelson was the only one who suggested he could install unfinished red oak hardwood upstairs, and then refinish both floors to the exact same color - and for cheaper than the other two would have installed pre-finished. Capitol Flooring's original estimate said it would take 8-10 days to complete the project and they finished everything in 7. Nelson was always quick to respond to questions and texts, and kept me informed throughout the process. We had 2 different teams work on our project, one to install the new hardwood and sand/refinish and another to apply the poly, new trim and complete the stairs. Both teams were hard-working, thorough and professional. I highly recommend them to anyone looking for their next floor installation/refinishing project!

Recently we just purchased a home and I wanted to refinish the current hardwood floor and install same wood on upper level. It is a big project and we have contacted a few contractors for estimation and ended up choosing Capitol Flooring based on their positive reviews. And we were not disappointed. Nelson and his team is everything the reviews say and more. First of all, Nelson said it will take about 10 to 12 days to finish, his team finished everything in 7 days. They always show up on time, work hard for 12 hours a day, clean up after themselves everyday after they are done for the day. Nelson is very responsive, always stop by to check for the quality of the work and to address any concerns you may have. He listens and gets his team to do whatever it needs to make you happy. Our floor turned out beautifully. I highly recommend Capitol Flooring for all of your flooring needs!

My experience with Capitol flooring was amazing and I would highly recommend them. My experience with them was for hardwood floor sanding and refinishing however based on my experience I can certainly say that they would be amazing in any type of flooring. In my case, I had some other contractor who did a horrible job with floor sanding and refinishing after we purchased the house and I wanted to get that fixed. I got quotes from many flooring companies however the quote from Capitol Flooring was very competitive and actually lower than what I paid to previous guy who messed things up. The team from Capitol flooring far exceeded my expectations in terms of quality of the work and results and that too in a time line which is faster than a previous contractor. If you are planning for hardwood floor sanding and refinishing I would suggest that you should not go to anyone but Capitol flooring and you will be super happy with the quality of the work as well as price and punctuality.

I had an amazing experience with Nelson and the Capitol Flooring team. Not only was their hardwood install and refinish of my existing floors stunning, their punctuality, professionalism, and care were what really impressed me most. At the end of each day, they took great care to clean up and treat my home like their own. Capitol removed carpet and linoleum to replace with hardwood and refinished existing hardwood to match new. Price was extremely competitive with comparable contractors. I will be recommending Capitol Flooring to all of my friends for their flooring needs.
