Castles installed an EV charger and re-worked my electrical panel to accommodate the breaker. Wiring was routed under my house to the charger which Wayne mounted to the front of my house. The charger location is great, the conduit is routed and sealed neatly and professionally, and the drywall that was removed was put back in place perfectly.Wiring was also ran in two of the upstairs bedrooms and dimmers were installed.Wayne also installed our lights and put together our chandelier, which had dozens of pieces and was extremely tedious.We had recently received an estimate from a larger company for the same work. They gave us the wrong information about our electrical panel to try and sell us something we didnt need. Our estimate was three times as much as the one Castles provided.We are extremely happy with the work Wayne and his partner did. We are definitely going with Castles for future electrical work and we recommend you do the same!

Wayne was very flexible and did a great job installing my Tesla 240v outlet and circuit breaker so I could charge my new Tesla Y. He went above and beyond by running additional wire in case I want to have a Tesla wall connector installed sometime in the future. very reasonably price compared to other electricians I received an estimate from.

For those of you looking for a PowerWall 3 install review - here it is:Castles Electrical and Solar is a certified installer on the Tesla website. I contacted them to request a quote as well as an installer from Richmond, VA. Their quote was extremely competitive and I decided to agree. Before doing so, I like many others, read every single review on here. I wasn't able to find a Powerwall install review but the numerous 5 star reviews for Tesla Wall Connector installs really showed his level of detail.Wayne Castles (owner of Castles Electrical and Solar) came to my home for an initial inspection. He answered about a dozen of my questions and I could really see the heightened level of knowledge and detail. He also informed me that some parts used in my 2020 solar panel install by a competitor, were now not UL listed and basically illegal to use. He would be replacing those during his install. I am someone who prefers to know if things weren't done right and he was able to spot these types of details and communicate them.After agreeing to the estimate, Wayne began the process of ordering two PowerWall 3's from his vendor. After a few weeks, Wayne was informed by the vendor that Tesla's factory that shipped out Powerwall's actually shut down so they were still catching up. I received a call from Wayne the moment he was able to secure two PW3's and scheduled the install dates.Wayne and his associate Robert arrived in the morning and began their work. They first mounted the PW3's to the garage wall which required another associate to arrive since each one is a little less than 300 pounds. He had to remove a 2 by 6 foot section of drywall beneath the electrical panel in order to install the wiring behind. The Backup Gateway was mounted to the wall next and he began to shape the metal piping that he uses to connect the wires from the PW3 to the Backup Gateway. He also had to drill out a hole under the meter outside to feed it directly into the Dominion Energy meter. During the install process, he also ended up moving my Tesla Wall Connector behind the drywall which looks much cleaner than it was before (see before picture). I am absolutely pleased with how clean the entire install looks.Observing the extremely high level of attention to detail and the many questions I asked during the install, Wayne is by the far the only contractor I have been excited to write a review for. I'm upset that I didn't find him in 2020 when I had my solar system installed. He is now my dedicated electrician and I would implore anyone looking for electrical or solar work to give Wayne a call.
