FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is flexible depending upon the needs of the client. I offer volume discounts for extensive work (corporate returns, unfiled returns). I am interested in maintaining long term relationships with clients rather than a one time tax preparation or project.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
My typical process is meeting new clients via telephone conversations or by email. I inquire as to what specific services the new customer is interested in and I give them a detailed plan as to how my firm can assist them with their specific needs. Generally, followed up by initial appointment to gather all of the information. Additional information needed is garnered either by email, mail or follow up appointments. When returns are complete, I sit down with the clients and go over their returns in detail to answer any and all questions. I am available by phone year round to answer client questions.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have been a practicing accountant and tax practitioner since 1980 and have owned my own firm since the late 80's. I was involved in a rigorous and comprehensive mentoring program in the early 80's and eventually purchased the firm from my mentor. I have had extensive accounting, tax courses, economic courses from the University of Virginia.
