I was organising a birthday party for my daughter, her first since COVID, so I wanted it to be perfect. Ashley and Derek responded to my many pre-contract queries promptly, professionally and friendly. Their warmth set them above the rest, and it was an easy choice regarding who to work with. I have absolutely no regrets. I had to change the time of the event and the duration... twice... because of uncontrollable events. They were patient and obliging, and even though they worked the night before my event, they were on time, they were upbeat, and they were full of suggestions for photos. I've worked with other photographers before, and I had to tell them what to do. Today, I was able to enjoy my daughter's birthday. Ashley would appear, with a new, fun photo idea at key moments and everything was executed quickly, which was a triumph since they were photographing seven years who were on a diet of sugar, sugar and more sugar. The best part about working with 7th Tree is that you forgot that Derek was there, but, looking at videos that others shot, I could see him, being there but also not being there. This might sound weird, but the last thing that you want is a photographer colliding with the entertainer (I've seen this happen before). We had lion dancers, and Derek skillfully weaved around the room in order to capture every angle, while staying out of their haphazard way. Your only regret with 7th Tree would be to not hire them. I will be reaching out to them for a future events. Thanks so much, Ashley and Derek!
