I have a Ph.D. in applied mathematics. I have taught and tutored math for 20+ years in college and after-school programs. I could summarize my work on the following four points.
1. I take the time to explain the material, provide examples, and help give my students back confidence.
2. I am patient and polite, explaining with clear logic and diagrams.
3. I not only teach the concepts but also explain the tips of memories and applying math formulas.
4. I review the past week's work or exams and prepare for the upcoming lessons.
