I have a Ph.D. in applied mathematics. I have taught and tutored math for 20+ years in college and after-school programs. I could summarize my work on the following four points. 1. I take the time to explain the material, provide examples, and help give my students back confidence. 2. I am patient and polite, explaining with clear logic and diagrams. 3. I not only teach the concepts but also explain the tips of memories and applying math formulas. 4. I review the past week's work or exams and prepare for the upcoming lessons. I am glad to tutor and provide homework help at students' locations, online (Zoom), or at one of the two of our tutoring centers in Sterling, Leesburg. Dr. Atajiang tutored both of my sons in calculus in high school, and I would honestly give him my highest recommendation. My sons told me that Dr. Atajiang is fantastic at explaining difficult concepts and exhibits a lot of patience. My younger son actually continued to take lessons from Dr. Atajiang during his freshman year of college via skype which helped him earn great grades in his math courses. My son thought that the lessons via skype (online) were just as helpful as the in-person lessons that he took during high school. In fact, he preferred online classes due to ease. Finally, I appreciate that Dr. Atajiang has always been very flexible with scheduling sessions. Again, I would give Dr. Atajiang my highest recommendation.

I am profoundly grateful for the work Mr. Talifu Atajiang is doing with my kids. My son, currently a junior in high school, started tutoring with Mr. Atajiang last year for his Pre-Calculus class, he helped my son not only understanding better the concepts taught in school but also boosted his confidence, my son improved from a C in the first quarter to A for the year in his Math class. This year my son is taking AP Calculus and with the help of Mr. Atajiang I am certain he will succeed. Mr. Atajiang’s patience and excellent teaching abilities have also helped my 6th grader daughter in advancing her Math skills preparing her for Honors Math in 7th grade.

My son, who is in 11th grade, is in his second semester working with Talifu. Talifu is both a talented teacher and tutor. What I mean by this is that Talifu can impart concepts to my son that he did not understand when his teacher taught the concept and then comes up with practice exercises to make sure that my son has mastered the concept. Talifu is a patient and positive tutor, who gives constructive feedback well. My son is a A student in virtually all his classes but he lost confidence in math. Talifu helped give my son back that confidence (he has an A in Precalc this quarter).
