FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge $90.00 dollars an hour for henna, jagua, or glitter henna. If you book for 4 or more hours, I offer 15% off the total price.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
When I was younger, I would draw mehndi designs in sharpie on my arms. I would go from the tips of my fingers to my elbows. My parents, understandably, wanted me to find a healthier alternative. When I first knew that I could potentially do henna myself, I was super excited. For the first month, I didn't touch a henna cone. Instead, I watched videos showing different techniques and read articles about the history and science of henna. I think that doing that preparation gave me a special bond with the henna. Mehndi consumed my life and I couldn't wait to start. I got my first cone from a local Halal market. It was in a toothpaste-like tube and my designs were basic. Since then I have improved in ability as well as material selection. My henna powder is sourced directly from India and mixed in fresh batches for every event. I am so glad that I discovered henna; for the beautiful art form, but also for the amazing people I’ve met and the strong relationships I’ve created.
- What types of customers have you worked with?
I have done henna for children as young as 3-4 and for adults as young at heart as 70 along with almost every age in between. Henna is a safe and enjoyable activity for everyone.
