Amazing service! I've heard bad stories of hiring moving companies but after doing research online and reading reviews I felt comfortable with City Hound. I requested a quote 2 days before my preferred move date via Thumbtack and they immediately responded within 10 minutes and were able to accommodate. After a couple back and forth messages and 1 phone call I got the quote and was surprised at how affordable it was. I hired 2 guys for 3 hours. They were up front about the fees asking specific questions like how many flight of stairs. Now, I was moving from a small studio to another studio and had about 15 medium/large boxes plus furniture - not a whole lot of stuff. They also emailed a Certificate of Insurance quickly to meet the building requirements.
On actual moving day, they were quick, efficient, and careful. They helped wrap my TV's and other furniture to easily and safely move it.
After the move, they reviewed the charges and it matched the quote that was given. Great deal!
I highly recommend them and will use them for future moves.

These guys are the real deal!!! From the moment I spoke with Andrew to schedule my move he was totally professional and courteous from start to finish. I found him on Craig's list when I was looking for a bedroom set. I live in Silver Spring and the bedroom set was in Olney, MD (only about 4 miles away) but they were coming from No.VA. The move would require picking up the new set which is solid cherry wood (queen headboard and foot board, dresser and mirror, 2 nightstands, wooden bed frame, and an armoire. They would also have to dismantle my existing queen bed set and discard. They finished everything in just over 2 hours and the price was exactly what Andrew had quoted me on the phone. They did not dilly dally at all, they were prompt, courteous,and extremely professional in every sense of the word from start to finish. I could not have been more pleased!!!

These guys are some of the hardest working movers I've seen so far, and that's not an exaggeration. Had to move to the city from 3 hours away, the timing had to be right to start and time window was limited due to building's rules. They went above and beyond to get the stuff off the truck and into the building on time, not sure what we would've done without their help. If you're looking for moving services of any kind, City Hound should be your first and only call.

I highly recommend City Hound Movers. I had a fairly complex move - two apartments and a storage unit - and called a dozen different companies to get estimates. Every estimate or owner I dealt with made it more complicated and more expensive than it should have been until I called Andrew at City Hound. He was right on the mark and provided a great crew to get it done quickly. Andrew's team didn't slow down, didn't drag their feet, and kept the pace up all day. These guys hit it out of the park!
