What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
While crawl space and structural repairs are not cheap, we offer a great blend of fair pricing, and expert workmanship. We are a little lower in pricing than national or "big-box" foundation companies, we don't over prescribe repairs, and are work is higher quality. We are higher in price than a "jack-of-all-trade" unlicensed contractor, or handyman attempting to do structural, crawl space, or foundation work.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When a new customer calls, April takes their contact information, gets an overview of the issues, and schedules a time for Robbie McCarty to visit the property. Robbie meets with the homeowner to discuss what he sees and possible solutions. The next day he sends a fully itemized estimate for the repairs, so there is never "on-the-spot" sales pressure.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Robbie started at the agent of 16 working for a foundation contractor, and continued in the field through college. Once he graduated college he went into residential real estate and house flipping, personally building and renovating over 100 properties, and selling over 500 homes for clients. He was licensed as a Class-A Residential Building Contractor in 2017, the highest license available in the residential repair and home building sector. He and April then started Patriot Crawl Space Repairs. He has undergone training for helical piles installation at Patriot Foundation Systems in Florida, is licensed with the Virginia Department of Agriculture with training through Virginia Tech on how to handle and prevent wood destroying fungus. Robbie is also a certified land disturbance agent in the state of Virginia, and has designed and built multiple homes from scratch, so he understands residential structures. April began her career working in the banking industry, has managed multiple law firms, has been a concierge at Ruth Crisp's and has a background in financial sales. She handles the customer service, scheduling, and billing for the company.
