I have been studying violin for over 17 years, and am well versed in the genres of classical, folk, pop, and jazz. My experience playing in different genres allows me to incorporate techniques in my lessons that I find are very important for a student’s musicianship. For example, learning to play by ear, practicing sight reading, and learning to improvise.

Learning a new instrument was something I always wanted to do, but was nervous about starting at an older age. Caroline has been incredibly patient with me as a beginner, and has been kind and motivating too! I appreciate her flexible schedule, and have enjoyed each lesson so far.
