Virginia Notary Fees As of July 1, 2024, Virginia notaries are authorized to charge a maximum of $10 per notarial act for standard paper documents. For electronic documents, the maximum fee is $25. Additional Fees: While the state sets a maximum fee, notaries may also charge additional fees, such as: Travel Fees: Many notaries charge a fee for traveling to your location, especially for mobile notary services. After-Hours Fees: Notaries may charge extra for services provided outside of standard business hours
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
When working with a new client, I prioritize a smooth and efficient experience. Here’s a general overview of my process: Initial Contact: We discuss your specific notary needs, whether it's a simple document signing or a complex loan closing. Scheduling: We schedule an appointment that works best for you, either at my office or through a mobile notary service. Document Review: I review all documents to ensure they are complete and ready for notarization. Notarization: I conduct the notarization process, ensuring compliance with all legal requirements. Payment: I provide a clear breakdown of fees and collect payment. Document Return: I return the notarized documents to you promptly, either electronically or by mail
