He was extremely kind and flexible with our changing plans. The painting went very well and the rooms looked great. I think the speed of the project was a little slower than I expected and that was my only hesitation so I gave 4 stars.

I hired Brandon to help me diagnose and fix a problem with my dryer and my refrigerator. He wrote back the same day and said he would be here at 2:30pm. He didn’t show up until three hours later at 5:30pm. During that time I had to call and text him twice to get updates on his arrival. But, it was still the same day and I was desperate with two appliances giving me problems, so I went along with it. He worked on the dryer for about an hour (possibly a bit longer, to be fair), and explained I needed a new motor and belt. He took the dryer completely apart and put it back together. He also swept behind the dryer and got up the dust that was there. After putting the dryer back together he looked at the refrigerator. He checked the main board and said the problem was with the temperature setting difference between the freezer and refrigerator. He adjusted it and told me what it should always be set at. He also provided input on which parts to buy for both appliances. We agreed when I got the part for the dryer, he would return to install them. The next day, however, we were still having a condensation problem with the refrigerator. I contacted him and he said it can take 24-48 hours for the temperature to regulate. So I waited 48 hours. Same problem. He offered to come back out. I suggested we wait until the dryer parts came in so he could fix both appliances in one visit. He agreed. Once I received delivery confirmation of the parts, I reached out to him on this app to schedule the service. Never heard back. So I called him. He said he was locked out his Thumbtack account and was receiving notices but couldn’t reply. He asked if I would be willing to work outside of Thumbtack. I said no problem and that I would text him directly. I did. But also during that phone call he said he would text me on Thursday to tell me when he would be out to fix the dryer and take another look at the refrigerator. Thursday came and went and despite a direct phone call from me and a follow up direct text, I didn’t hear anything back from him. Nothing. Not even a courtesy response to say he would get back to me tomorrow or later. Zero. I have an elderly parent and I need to be able to do laundry. I’ve already had to go to the public laundry twice. I completely understand he has other customers and jobs, and he shouldn’t promise what he can’t deliver. Or hire an assistant to process your customer communications for you, because leaving paying customers hanging isn’t professional or acceptable. Classic case of someone who cannot handle the work load he gets through this app. He responds right away to get you locked into working with him and then you have to call and text repeatedly to get any answers. And, he responds when he gets ready - even to paying customers. His rates were reasonable, sure. He was very respectful and clean in my home. And he helped me make sure I was buying the correct replacement part. But, he left me hanging and $90.10 and a week later, I still have two broken appliances. I paid him the same day and didn’t get the same courtesy when it comes to his responsiveness. He also appears to know more about washers and dryers than refrigerators, but that’s just my opinion based on the fact that it’s a week later and I still don’t know what’s wrong with my refrigerator.
