FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I ask for payment at the beginning of each month for the number of lessons that are in the month. (Either 4 or 5 lessons). I do not give refunds or carry over lessons to the next month in case of cancellation, but will reschedule a missed lesson to a mutually convenient time.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I try to get to know the learning style of the student, and determine if the family has had previous experience with music lessons. I also try to figure out the personality of the student and tailor my approach to the individual student.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have an elite educational background, with graduate degrees in music performance that include a doctorate of music from a major conservatory (Eastman School of Music-University of Rochester, Rochester, N.Y.) as well as a Masters Degree from the University of Michigan(Ann Arbor , Michigan) and European training at a French conservatory near Paris. I have played many concerts, both in the United States and Europe. I have taught privately in the Northern Virginia area since 2005, and have previously taught at the college level.
