- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
The fee displayed in response to a client request is usually the starting point. If in the interview process it is disclosed there are more complex items to the return, there will be an additional cost. I typically can give a range of what the price will be.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
It is usually helpful to have a phone interview to build a relationship with the client. With the 2020 tax season and Covid 19 social distancing, my operations are more electronic/remote services rather than face-to-face. I will conduct a video conference if necessary to talk about details. If the client is acceptable to securely transfer their information for the tax return, that process can be set up for them as well.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Bachelors in Management, Master Degree in Management (MBA) and other dedicated training courses in the area of accounting, tax preparation. I do complete my QuickBooks ProAdvisor Certification each year as well as required Continuing Education Courses (CPE) in tax.
