FAQs
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
Absolutely. I take lessons with players I admire and respect. It's incredibly important to me that I continue to take lessons with instructors and performers who can find weak spots in my playing and challenge me to make the strengths. It's a life-long pursuit!
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I studied guitar with a handful of people who made a huge impact on my progression as a guitarist - but the one that stands out is my first guitar teacher. He lit a fire under me and taught me in a way that made me curious and self-sufficient and ten years later I have a degree in music and still play with every free minute I have. That first guitar teacher literally changed the course of my life. The idea that I could do the same for some other kid is really exciting!
- What advice would you give a customer looking to hire a provider in your area of work?
Go with someone you like who you're comfortable with but be ready to practice! A good teacher should be able to guide you but making it happen is all you!
