Firstly i would try to understand the customers needs and expectations. Then i would explain how each of their needs can be accomplished, offer advice on best practices and alternative solutions. Finally, agree on price and products.

I have a Bachelors of Science in Electronic Engineering, NEC Electricians Certificate, decades of trial and error as well as decades of successfully figuring it out.
