I contracted with Richards' Homes to build out a bathroom/spa in my basement. Mr. Richards is primarily a new home builder but will do some remodeling on the side. I reached out to him based on the positive experience a neighbor had finishing their entire basement. His bid was very competitive.
Mr. Richards is unusual, in my experience, as he allows you to buy plumbing fixtures, vanities, tile, etc. directly without a builder's mark up. In most cases he provided a contact and the seller gave me builder's pricing. The project was completed on budget with one exception - the fellow laying the tile took much longer than anticipated so his labor costs were substantially out of the projected range. In the tile guy's defense, I was putting a hot tub in the room and had a large square footage to tile, including the walls in the alcove where the tub was to be installed. He also tiled the shower enclosure floor to ceiling and built the shower pan.
I think Mr. Richards likes to have a small project like this on the side so he can do some building personally. He did the framing and some of the painting in between his oversight responsibilities on a custom home he was building at the same time.
I was in no particular hurry to have this project finished and had to wait for some of the subcontractors to make their appearance.
I'm very happy with the final product.
Mr. Richards is pleasant and easy to work with. Also unusual in my experience, is the fact that he didn't ask for a payment until we were quite a way into the project - nothing up front. My neighbor had the same experience. I'm perfectly happy to recommend Richards' Homes, LLC.

Daniel has done several remodeling jobs for me including finishing a basement, converting a porch into a sunroom, and expanding pantries in the kitchen area. All were done well. He may take a little more time than others, but worth the quality. All renovations are holding up well after several years of active use.
