It gets better – it always does. BUT – I can only help you when we connect. Using basic techniques and strategies from Behavior Analysis, Neuroscience, Cognitive Behavior Therapy, Psychology, Emotional Intelligence and a few others, we can make vast improvements in anger, anxiety, and depression. We can also improve our relationships (married, unmarried, dating, etc.); better communication, better intimacy, better expectations. My specialty is cognitive behavior; what do we DO with our thoughts, what behavior can we change, and what is the result we want - these are the focus of my work.
The part of my job I love the most is building partnerships. It’s not just getting a client – it’s starting a new relationship where we work together. Most of my clients start off with weekly meetings, then we taper to every other week, and eventually every third or fourth depending on your needs.
I spend extra effort working with teens - an underserved population. I'm particularly proud of my work with a teen in the UK for over a year, completely administered via FB Messenger. Working with adolescents at their level is extremely important to me. Because of my international work, I was awarded Adolescent Behavior Analyst of the Year by Global Health and Pharma in 2023 and 2024.
I've been steadily adding to my skill set with an MBA in Organizational Behavior and completed post-grad studies in a variety of psychology-based programs. I'm also a Certified Marriage Educator from the National Marriage Center. As of 2018 I became a Behavior Analyst (Clemson University) and just completed a Cognitive Behavior Therapy program with the Beck Institute. My next adventure will be to expand my services to include overall health coaching.
The reality is you can't fix it if you don't address it. Change takes action and I guarantee your life will improve IF you use the tools that I give you. But you gotta start somewhere.
