FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is simple. If you are willing to come to me, it is $60/hr in 30 minutes increments. If I have to go on-site, it is $80/hr with 30 minute increments. Depending on the distance (outside of the Richmond/Chester area), there may be an extra travel fee. These prices DO NOT include parts. For example, if you need a screen replaced on a laptop, you will be responsible for that screen. I will assist in getting the appropriate screen with the best value. The prices include the services, tools, and travel time (if applicable). I will also fully explain in detail what I did with the customer's equipment.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I will also fully explain in detail what I plan on doing. I will not use jargon, because I know that will only throw people off. Picture a lawyer using words like "Prima Facie" or "Habeas Corpus." All you want to know is what is being done with your equipment. We will plan a time and date, and I can drive to the customer, or the customer can come to my home.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have three CompTIA certifications, as well as a bachelor's in computer science. I am also a Cisco Certified Network Associate (CCNA) in routing and switching. If you have servers that need to be maintained, rest assured as I am also certified in Windows Server 2016 from Microsoft.
