FAQs
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Getting to know them by finding out what their style and tastes are and creating an environment that is suitable to their needs. I make sure that they feel at ease with letting me handle the logistics of the event so they can enjoy entertaining their guests and can spend quality time with them.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over 15 years experience as a caterer. I have been a part of large and small events, including residential events. I have worked as a server, bartender and as a lead person on several events. I also bartend regularly for the Virginia Commonwealth University Rams home basketball games that take place in the Tommy J. West suite at the Siegel Center.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I began working with a catering company as a part-time job and wanted to learn more about the business. I was an Event Coordinator in past positions with my full-time jobs and thought that it would be helpful to know both sides of the industries. In time, I learned about the industry, but also came to enjoy, very much, the type of work and the satisfaction it gave to those who I was providing a service.
