Precision Canine was founded in 2023 and is a locally owned and operated dog training facility based out of Lynchburg, VA. The key focus of the business is helping dogs be exceptional pets for their owners. Precision Canine takes a balanced training approach focusing on reward-based training and goal directed behavior with positive reinforcement. The company also offers continuing education and training for law enforcement localities as well as detection services. Precision Canine believes in helping the community and owners in any way possible. We promise that all dogs will be assessed regardless of breed or behavior and believe our staff has the experience to help you and your dog. The owner and lead trainer, Andrew Kasecamp, has extensive knowledge in the canine world with over a decade of canine experience. Starting his career in Law Enforcement as a K-9 handler, Andrew love for handling and training dogs started. Once he left law enforcement, Andrew moved to the private sector working as the Director of Training and Education and Lead Trainer for a private security company. During this time, he worked with some of the biggest K-9 companies in the country to include GardaWorld Federal, Global K-9 Protection Group, and Constellis. Andrew has also completed canine training for the Pentagon Force Protection Agency, Virginia State Police, Department of Homeland Security, Department of Defense, and many more local agencies. Andrew possesses a Master of Science Degree in Canine Behavior and is certified as a canine trainer through the International Association of Directors for Law Enforcement Standards and Training (IADELST), State of Virginia (DCJS), American Society of Canine Trainers (ASCT), American K-9 Interdiction (AK9I), and American Kennel Club (AKC CGC Evaluator). Andrew has worked with some of the biggest K-9 Companies in the country and now it's time to put him to work for you.

We can’t say enough good things about Precision Canine. Andrew is professional, thorough, and the most qualified trainer we have ever worked with. Our 60+ lb dog loves people but would always jump on everyone she met. She was too strong for me to control on leash if she saw any distractions. Andrew had her heeling on day 1 of training. She came home with a great heel - on and off leash, as well as a strong recall. Our pup had a blast with Andrew (she even tried to leave with him once she was back home with us). He truly understands the dogs and builds a great bond with them.

Andrew & his wife Sam are amazing! I highly recommend Precision Canine of Lynchburg! I found a stray dog, extremely emaciated, in poor health, very fearful, reactive & deaf! This poor boy was dealt a bad hand in life. Andrew was able to bring out the very best in “Tom”. Aside from basic obedience, Andrew built up “Tom’s” confidence & worked diligently to conquer his fears. He worked through his reactivity & he was able to create a whole new way for me to communicate with “Tom” since he can’t hear me! “Tom” required a lot of patience, love & praise. Andrew gave him all of the above & transformed him into a happy boy & he is now living his best life! Before Andrew’s training, I could barely walk “Tom” on a leash, because he was so reactive to anything that moved. He would lunge at other animals, leaves blowing in the wind, bees, butterflies, you name it!!! Andrew trained “Tom” to walk wonderfully both on & off leash! I can take “Tom” to public places now, whereas, before that was not even an option. He socialized “Tom” with new people, places & animals. “Tom” is settling in so perfectly to his new “pack” (our other dogs & cats in the home) & enjoying his new family life! I truly cannot thank Andrew & Sam enough for setting “Tom” up with such success in his new life! On a side note, Andrew was also unbelievably gracious enough to donate his training expertise to our local animal shelter to help some troubled pups become more adoptable & escape euthanasia! I really cannot say enough good things about Andrew & all the good he does to improve both dogs & peoples lives!!!

I truly can not say enough about Andrew at Precision Canine Lynchburg. He took in Max for a two week board and train with his separation anxiety and fear based reactivity to dogs and people where most will only do private lessons for those types of behavior issues. Max also had the usual pulling on a leash and destructive behavior at home amongst a few other things. He took the time and effort to get Max to where he can now go in public without reacting to people and dogs and is so much better overall with his walking and not nearly as destructive at home. Max was his second toughest dog to train so far but the time, work and dedication that he put in was beyond expectation. I now have a dog that has the foundation for me to continue building on that will allow us both to have lots of great adventures together and go places without worries of Max being reactive. Thank you Andrew and Precision Canine!

Outstanding training service. Precision Canine worked with my male 6-month-old German Shepherd puppy for two weeks. When Andrew brought the dog back to me, the dog was an entirely different animal. His obedience was solid, he walks well on and off leash in the presence of distractions without any issues. He responds to verbal commands perfectly now. I would highly recommend this service to anyone needing help with their dog.

We sent Bones to 2 week Board & Train with worry because he is my best friend. Andrew prove he was the man for the job. Andrew is professional, ethical, a hard worker, knows how to train dogs and clearly loves dogs. Bones is more confident, relaxed, and responds to all his commands. Andrew kept us up to date with videos and it was awesome watching Bones progress. I would not send him anywhere else for training now that we know Andrew. Highly recommend Precision Canine for all your training needs!

Step one is to arrange a free consultation. Precision Canine Lynchburg will meet you and your dog and discuss any behavior problems and set goals. Once agreed and paperwork completed, we set a start date.
