FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My pricing is based on the hours it takes for a playground to be assembled. If it says twelve then I charge for 12 hours. Also keep in mind I bring a second person to help out. He gets paid from my cut. This also guarantees that things are done correctly with a second set of eyes. For fencing my price is based on a variety of factors. Ground, location, gas to get to said location, as well as fence removal, and shrubbery and proximity of trees. For flooring it could be job space and square footage. I try to keep my prices honest especially for the quality of product that I put out.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
Typically depends on what the project is. Usually it begins with an estimate. Face to face. Connection is important to me. I am not a contractor that you can’t talk to I will talk and chat and be more than willing to explain my reasoning for what I do. Once the face to face is done typically a written estimate follows and if materials are needed then a materials deposit is usually required prior to beginning the job. Cost for labor upon completion.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was always good at building things. Numbers are natural to me and problem solving is something I’m particularly fond of. When I was younger my father used to make me work on all types of different project so I picked up what he taught me.
