Introduction
I'm Connor Murchison, guitar teacher and CEO at Heavy Acoustics. I've been teaching for 3 years and playing for 15. I teach various styles from blues to rock to metal, as well as concepts outside of the guitar such as recording, music theory, and many other music-related subjects. I've also studied with greats like John Petrucci and Mattias IA Eklundh. I have a fully furnished home studio for lessons, as well as a lounge area next to the lesson studio for parents to work or relax in. I also offer online lessons if in person lessons don't work for you.

I had an excellent experience with Connor @ Heavy Acoustics from the first lesson and still going strong! He has a laid back demeanor but gets right to the point on where I should focus during the lessons and in between for self practice. I really feel like I received excellent value from one of the best guitar players in the DC metro area, and I really love going to hear his band play local gigs!
