FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Like most attorneys, I am compensated for my time by the hour. My current hourly rate is $250 per hour, which I have found is less than or equivalent to my peers' hourly rate. I can quote fixed fees for pieces of legal work that I am confident can be managed in a certain period of time. For example, an uncontested divorce has a known amount of work and I can quote a fixed price.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
We have a brief conversation (30-45 minutes) that allows me to listen to the client's situation and understand his or her concerns. The goal is to appreciate the client's legal problem and map out a plan for going forward. If the client feels comfortable that I am the right fit, we move towards formalizing the attorney-client relationship.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a law degree from the University of Virginia. I have more than 3 years experience dealing with family law and family law issues. My professional experience includes negotiating family documents as well as litigating cases in court.
