Hi! TEACHING A LIFE SKILL! Certified WSI, (water safety instructor) Lifeguard with CPR/AED. I have been teaching lessons at pools and beach settings for several years. I have an exceptional teaching technique that I use for toddlers, children, and adults. Children and Adults come in class saying “I can’t do that” or I am not coordinated. I quickly change those phrases and build up their confidence with "I will be great at this!" I always aim for my students and adults leaving my lessons with nothing but the BEST experience. Ideal for: Adults taking their first strokes and wanting to learn to swim for safety, fitness, vacation or a triathlon. Monday, Wednesday and Sunday in Maryland inside the beltway area Tuesday and Thursday in the Springfield, Va area and surrounding **monthly in the Chicago area ***Please take into consideration- I maintain a strict 24-hour notification cancellation and no-show policy to ensure all guest have the same opportunity to receive the highest quality of personal attention and care durning their swim session. Very effective instructor to build confidence and provide the basics in adults. I was able to use what I learned in 2 classes to increase my comfort in water and continue to improve. Will definitely hire again for more advanced skills as I go through my swimming journey.

Dana is the best swim instructor you can ask for. She is very detail and will Make you very comfortable in the water. My husband gave up on his back float and didn’t even want to give it a try until Dana gave him a lesson and he is now very comfortable and starts back stroke too. I would highly recommend Dana for anyone( kids, adults).

Dana is an amazing swim instructor. I learn so much from here in my first lesson. I am 46 and I am not swimmer at all, but with Dana I can see the light at the end of the tunnel. I have a lot of information to process post lesson and looking forward to the next one.

I am out of shape, 40+, and had no swimming experience. I also had a few failed attempts trying to work out private lessons with other instructors previously. I contacted Dana to learn swimming and she has been very responsive from the moment I contacted her. We agreed to learn at my apartment pool and Dana showed up a few minutes before time and we found out that the pool was closed due to some maintenance reasons on that day. Dana was patient and supported me by taking me to her Gym's pool and provided the lesson. She is a seasoned instructor who will make you comfortable in every way, I cannot believe at the end of second class I am swimming freestyle laps requiring some breathing practice. I feel my alignment is good and legs are not sagging and I just need to improve breathing through practice . I am also able to do some backstroke and confident that with time it will be muscle memory. I suck at the breaststroke, and me and Dana both feel we can let it go for the time being :-) . Dana is an experienced coach who is very professional, responsive, full of technique that can help any adult learner grasp like a young kid. She is also a very helpful and a patient person who provides high value for your time and money. I would highly recommend her for Adult Swimming Lessons. Thank You
