FAQs
- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
I charge a flat $180 for pianos that are kept regularly in tune. Pianos that have not been tuned in a long time may need a pitch raising, which is a $50 surcharge. I cannot know for certain if a piano needs a pitch raising or not until I hear it.
- What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have a Masters in Music Theory from the University of Cincinnati - College Conservatory of Music. I have an undergraduate degree in clarinet performance.
- How did you get started doing this type of work?
I was married to a conservatory-trained pianist. I trained and learned to tune our piano so that I could keep it in tune all the time and save paying others. She has told me I do a better job than any of the professionals she had used prior to me.
