I put off an outdoor electrical repair but finally relented. I had used Thumbtack successfully in the past and decided to just post the job and see what happened. Two hours later, DMV had arrived, repaired the electrical problem, and fixed another minor plumbing one, and was gone. He was very competent, very professional, and very kind. I was trying to replace some light switches with smart switches, including a particularly tricky three way setup (it was a mess of excess and incorrectly colored wires) and previously hired a handyman and another electrician for the work, both of whom couldn't make it work (the electrician was junior and didn't bill me for most of the time he was here because he felt bad). DMV's electrician was the first one to complete the job, they were easy to schedule quickly.

I have a new home and wanted to update about 100 switches including putting in 4 new outlets for TVs and other equipment. After some back and forth Alican arrived punctually and was a machine. He had a ton of good suggestions and we worked through several challenges all to my satisfaction. He also installed Lutron smart switches -- which are amazing. He even came back and tweaked something that I hadn't caught after the fact. I have nothing but nice things to say and would happily recommend Alican to anyone. Last very minor, but very telling detail? Alican always has his screws finish at '12 and 6'. While somewhat trivial it shows an attention to detail you don't always get - which is in the picture. Highly recommemd!
