I put off an outdoor electrical repair but finally relented. I had used Thumbtack successfully in the past and decided to just post the job and see what happened. Two hours later, DMV had arrived, repaired the electrical problem, and fixed another minor plumbing one, and was gone. He was very competent, very professional, and very kind. I was trying to replace some light switches with smart switches, including a particularly tricky three way setup (it was a mess of excess and incorrectly colored wires) and previously hired a handyman and another electrician for the work, both of whom couldn't make it work (the electrician was junior and didn't bill me for most of the time he was here because he felt bad).
