- What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
My starting point is $180 per cabinet. That is for 3 priming and 3 finish coats. Tinted to clients request. I also allow a painted masonite "skin" added to add to toe kick if needed. Also include handle/knob replacement. For any additional work, it is on a line item price. This includes cabinet repair or cabinet fabrication to match.
- What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
1. Request photos of each wall, so we have an accurate price. a. Add close up photos of any issues or concerns. 2. On site inspection to explain work flow and answer any questions. a. Confirm color. b. Confirm all areas are empty and ready to start work. 3. Confirm work timing a. Confirm access to site. b. Collect deposit. 4. Day 1 prep a. Plastic and mask all areas not being painted. i. Includes floors. ii. Block vents from paint dust. b. Install plastic wall barrier with “plastic pass through door”. Set up exhaust fan i. Remove all hardware from cabinets. ii. Mask out insides of cabinets. iii. Clean all surfaces to be painted with Krudkutter. iv. Degloss all surfaces to be painted. 5. Set up secondary painting area for doors and drawer fronts. a. Garage or open area. 6. Prime 1st coat and lightly sand. a. Repeat 2 times 7. Top/finish 1st coat and lightly sand. a. Repeat 2 times. 8. Remove all tape and plastic. 9. Replace all hardware. 10. Replace doors and drawers. 11. Vacuum all areas. 12. Collect balance on account.
