Express Moving and Storage, formed in 2013 and based in Northern Virginia, is a full-service local and long distance residential moving company. In addition to specializing in residential relocation, we're also able to remove items designated for charity, disposal, and auction. We offer month to month storage in our safe and secure warehouse located in Springfield, VA.

This entire team was incredible, from the folks who scheduled my move to the teams that showed up on moving day. The lead was humming and singing the entire day, and it was a long day. Everything was packed carefully and there was no damage in either house during the move. Highly recommend!

The moving team is professional and keeps moving fast. I expected the price would come out more than their estimate which included materials for wrapping and the truck. It was taking long during the wrapping process so I advised the moving team on some items that they don't need to wrap to save time and materials. I had additional items to move around the house as well and let them know in advance. I would recommend them to others. Thank you for helping us with this.

Express did a good job with our move. There are a few peculiarities, for one most workers there did not speak english so one or two of the guys acted as translators. Thats fine for most things, but at the new house they wouldnt know what we would be asking them to do without showing them. I understand complete mastery of the English language is difficult as there are misspelled words in this review I am sure, but basic home words should be known like basement. Secondly, I applaud them for their work on our playground equipment like the trampoline and the swing set. They took them apart after a lot of time (that probably took 2-3 hours of their time.) I would say though that with the swingset there were 4 bolts missing from the swingset that were there when I built it. Lastly, again they worked very hard for the 13 hours they were working with us, but at a certain point things automatically went into the garage and perhaps they were being nice as we had a baby and a 3 year old who needed to sleep, or they wanted to be done and shoved everything else in the garage.

Could not have gone smoother. Booked them less than 24 hours in advance. We’ve moved multiple times interstate and local and never have we had such a swift move. Andre as his two guys did phenomenal and made sure we were satisfied with how the move went. Very respectful of our homes and items

How did you get started doing this type of work?
One of the owners was a mover for 10 years before starting the company. The other owner worked his way up the ladder at a local auction company over the course of 10 years. Both owners worked together at the auction house and then decided to start Express Moving and Storage. We just celebrated 10 years in business and have been growing every year!
Describe a recent project you are fond of. How long did it take?
We were recently able to help someone at the last minute who found herself overwhelmed and with a deadline of the next day to vacate her house. She was so relieved when we arrived and saw how efficient our movers work. We were able to move her items out on time and our customer was extremely relieved!
