Traylor Design & Construction, LLC has been building and remodeling homes since 2005. My work is nothing less than the best, it has set me apart from the competition. The job is not complete until each of my customers is fully satisfied. I have the determination and ethics to do what is right, regardless of the obstacles or previous contractor's ill work that I may encounter. We had a wonderful experience with Andre Silva and his crew. The first job that we hired Andre and his team was to do restoration on our hardwood floors. Andre came out to our home and gave us a great estimate. He offered a military discount for us and we were very happy to hire him for the job. His Team showed up on time and got started right away. They covered the entire area where the work was going to be performed. Sanded down all the floors, prepared all the hardwood floors for application of the new stain and sanded down all the steps in the stair case. They prepared all the wood surface to the application of the new stain of the entire staircase. Applied the new stain on the entire floor level including closets. They did a great job cleaning up and was done in one full day. I had them come out the next day to put a few more coats of stain on the steps because the woods was a little lighter. They came back and did the job on their lunch break. I was blown away how the floors looked when they were finished. The hardwood floors looked brand new an was defiantly a selling point for our house. We actually hired Andre and his team to paint our home too. Andre hands down bet any estimate that I had and they did such an amazing job on the floors I was happy to hire them again. The painters showed up on time and started the job right away. Our entire down stairs was painted, the bathroom, three bedrooms and the kitchen. I was very happy because Andre was able to match the paint that we had on the walls. The painters did a great job and had it all done in one day. They clean up any paint that may of splattered and was very careful when painting around the hardwood floors. I also hired Andre to power wash the entire outside of the home which was a project. Andre took on this endeavor and he did a fantastic job. The house looked amazing when he was done. I will say I had over $3000 dollars worth of work put into our home to put it on the market and thanks to Andre it was on the market three days and we had two offers on our home. We just want to say thank you to Andre and his team for making our house look amazing. We will definitely recommend Andre and his team to anyone looking to make their home beautiful!!

The floor installation of engineered hardwood was not completed with the thought and care that I expected. I Had to call them back twice to properly fit transition pieces into the floor. Upon closer inspection, The wood floor stairs that they installed have large, visible gaps between where the risers meet the treads. The floating technique they used is terrible as i have bouncy, squishy areas due to uneven concrete subfloor. They should have glued everything down. Too late now, but I won’t be using Traylor Desgin again for any project.

Initially, I left an avg review for Traylor Design based on lack in communication. When Andre saw my review, he contacted me immediately and seemed honestly disappointed in the initial experience. After further discussion and another visit to my place, we set up work to install a granite counter top, back splash tiling, and unique small repairs in the kitchen and bathroom. All three were completed very well..and at a very fair price. And his crew worked hard to make sure I was satisfied with the results. We will contact him for work on a new home in the future. What should the customer know about your pricing (e.g., discounts, fees)?
Our pricing is based upon the entire project, scope of work and required materials. The outline of the project, step by step process and complete price of completion is sent packaged in a free proposal via email a few days after a free hands on consultation.
What is your typical process for working with a new customer?
I first come out to the location for a free consultation and hands on look at the project. I take laser measurements and notes while speaking with the home owner to get an internal view or outlook as to what they envision for themselves in their home. Within a few days I complete and send a free proposal via email with the overall scope of work and price for completion. If terms are agreeable we sit down to go over the final details of the project, sign the contract and lock in their desired date for the start of work.
What education and/or training do you have that relates to your work?
I have over ten years of hands on experience with painting, installation and/or repair of hardwood flooring/tile/laminate, construction or remodel of decks/porches, remodeling of bathroom/kitchens/basements, power washing, home additions, demolition and framing.
