Introduction
My students get to have fun while learning to become accomplished, talented musicians! My lessons are full of mastering technique, learning musicality, and understanding musical concepts, all of which are required to become a talented musician. At the same time, they're also full of laughs and silly and creative ideas that make practicing FUN and make the journey of learning an instrument and becoming a musician a great experience! I love getting to know each of my students, children and adults, individually- their personalities, challenges, and strengths. I love watching the "ah-ha" moments when someone understands a musical concept or uncovers a new strength for the first time! I also love helping experienced students grow in ways they wouldn't have imagined they were capable!

Nicolle has been an incredible violin teacher for my two daughters, and we couldn't be more grateful for her dedication and creativity. My oldest daughter has been learning with Nicolle for the past four years, and her progress has been remarkable. Nicolle primarily uses the Suzuki method, but she skillfully incorporates other creative approaches that truly bring out the best in her students. Her teaching style is engaging, using real-life examples that make lessons both fun and effective. Nicolle also emphasizes the importance of consistent home practice, listening to music, and daily exercises, which has instilled a strong sense of discipline and passion for music in both of my daughters. I highly recommend Nicolle to any parent looking for a committed and inspiring violin teacher!

My son wanted to learn to play the violin so after doing a ton of research I came across Nicolle. We live in New York and she is out if state so I was a little worried but after a month of lessons my son is playing. He love practicing and looks forward to his Saturday lessons with Nicolle. We had a rough start and she was so fast to help my kid back in track.. definitely recommend.

When I first searched for a violin teacher, I contacted multiple teachers. Nicolle was not only the first to respond immediately, but the only teacher to reply at all! She is friendly, easy to talk to, and kind. She made both my daughters and I feel comfortable immediately. My daughter is a beginner violin student and Nicolle personalized the lessons to fit her personality and made it fun by engaging her with activities and games to teach music theory and violin strategies from lesson one. Nicolle also engages the parents to interact throughout the lesson and at home with practicing. So, I am involved every step of the way. I really love everything about our experience with Nicolle and would recommend her to every parent and violin student!

Details: 6 - 9 years old • No formal training • No, the student cannot read music • Classical violin • What the teacher recommends • No, but the student is planning to purchase a violin and would like the teacher's advice on it • 30 minutes • I travel to the violin teacher

I didn't know where to even look to find a violin teacher for my 6 year old daughter. Nicolle showed up on Thumbtack and turned out to be the perfect fit for us! She is talented, sweet, kind, and patient. She is able to keep my daughter's interest during her lessons and gives me great tips on fun ways to practice. She's even available during the week if I need to text or talk to her about questions I have. This is very helpful. Nicolle is all about positive praise and has a gift teaching young children. I am so glad she is part of our music life. She is wonderful. -Elizabeth Jensen (mother to 6 year old violinist, Caroline)

The first viola lesson my daughter had with Nicolle was to see if they would be a good match for each other and they sure were! Nicolle clearly communicates her expectations, the tuition is very reasonable and the level of enthusiasm and encouragement she offers is perfect. The improvements we have already seen have been impressive and we look forward to watching our daughter's growth with Nicolle.
